A LOCKDOWN START UP 

A nationwide hospitality shut down, a chef at home and a big green egg. Sometimes out of adverse circumstances good things can happen. Not a pair to sit around, husband (Richard, chef) and wife (Kaylie, photographer) masterminded a BBQ food delivery service with a difference.

 

To offer ready to eat, slow cooked BBQ meats smoking for over 10 hours on a Big Green Egg ceramic grill. Resulting in gorgeously succulent meat that simply falls apart. Served up alongside fresh, seasonal deli style sides and naughty pots of sauces and dips, all homemade from scratch.

 

This is great local food, cooked, boxed and delivered to your door.

 THE CHEF

Chef and founder Richard Hards serves up his BBQ fair with over 14 years experience. Starting his career at Ramsey's Boxwood Cafe in Mayfair he then moved on and up, to work at Marco Pierre White's L'escargot.

 

After getting 4 years under his belt in fine dining, he turned his hand to heading up smaller run soho bolt holes and rolling out street food's royalty, Bob's Lobster.

 

He found his longer term home as Group chef at Soho's Bonnie Gull where he amassed a strong following with his contemporary take on British seafood.

 

Now Boxed Local is his new Surbiton base, delivering his delicious boxed BBQ'd meals to the local surrounding areas.
